Today with the new trailer we get to see him playing in a very familiar toybox. Those of you who remember Factory Farmed, Edwards’ 48-hour film challenge winner (see below), and who are familiar with his pre-Godzilla film Monsters can see his cinematic evolution. This has been borne out in images from the first trailer.
Our first glimpse of Gareth Edwards’ Star Wars Story came earlier today as the trailer for Rogue One was unleashed on an all-too suspecting public.Įdwards is the first director to make a non-saga Star Wars film (no, we’re not counting the Ewoks efforts) and he has mentioned that it will more of a war film than a sci-fi movie.
