You can steal everything and nobody challenges you so no need for thieving skills in a RPG. Much of the previous Gothic game controls were not implemented. Ever read a manual for a new piece of equipment and it was obviously translated from some other language by a non native English speaker? That is exactly what the dialog is like. There is absolutely no evidence of that anywhere.
The web site talks about new technology to make the game better. This one is all the performance problems plus some, horrible questing, the dialogue makes no sense whatsoever. The Gothic series is the greatest RPG ever, Gothic3 had serious performance problems though.
